Description

Most locales will not get a whatsnew page displayed with Firefox 14 but yours will. It will have a video promoting Firefox for Android that have been localized by an agency with professional voice-overs, no subtitles needed (I haven't seen the video yet).

There are a few strings (11) needed for this page and for the Firefox for Android download button for your locale, please svn up your local copy and update the files in:
whatsnew.lang
mobile.lang
main.lang

This is the first time we do a rather complex page on the python framework for mozilla.orf (bedrock), the url is :

http://www-dev.allizom.org/b/ja/firefox/14.0/whatsnew/

We are still working on some redirects therefore the page may be unavailable when you check the page, the /b/ in the url is a temporary measure (it just means that the page is served from the Bedrock frameword), it will be removed in the future.

3 of the strings in whatsnew.lang are actually not displayed,they are strings for a fallback promo for Firefox for Android in case we have a problem with the videos, the Russian page will have this as the default content so you can check that page that variant of the page would look like:

Kohei, we should make sure that if you redirect the page to mozilla.jp, the redirect still works because we are serving this page from the Python framework for the first time and not the php one. CCing Anthony to ask him confirmation that it will work.

I've localized main.lang in r107522 just in case.

Yes, we've found the localized video files here but how can we replace those?

Can you also translate the string 'Free from the Google Play Store' in mobile.lang? This is used on the page.

For mozilla.org, Anthony is working on serving the right video to the right locale.

Some of your files were not automatially pushed to production since these pages are usually on mozilla.jp, this is now done in r107574.

Marking this one as fixed as whatsnew.lang is translated in Japanese. The redirect issues mentionned in this bug are not related to l10n, if there are still issues please file new bugs. Thanks

/ja-JP-mac/ is still redirected to /en-US/ so I'll file a new bug. Removing the dependency from here.
