Firefox Mobile Native 14.0.1 build 2 Device: HTC Desire (Android 2.2) Steps to reproduce: 1. Go to planet.mozilla.org. 2. Scroll down 2-3 articles. 3. Reload the page a few times. Expected results: The page scroll position is not changed. Actual results: Sometimes the view jumps up to the top of the page and only then the page is scrolled back to the previous position. Why is this considered a bug? I think this is something you could expect. This is also happening on desktop, right? And not a regression?

I manged to reproduce this once on Desktop but only after changing through tabs and returning to the one with planet.mozilla.org loaded while Firefox Mobile tends to do this a lot more often. However I have tried this on the stock Android Browser on the HTC Desire running Android 2.2.2 and I was not able to reproduce at all.

I guess this is basically bug 419362.

Agreed, I see this on desktop too. It usually happens with slow-loading pages, or pages where assets don't get cached so it has to reload things from the network. On mobile everything loads slowly so you see it more often.
