I have been unable to get WiFi working on the daily GB builds for the Otoro since July 15th.

I am using a GB Otoro (shows green Android logo and red light on startup)

Steps to reproduce…

1. Install a recent GB build for the Otoro (eg. 2012-08-06_gb_trunk)
2. Open the settings app and note that WiFi shows as "disabled"
3. Press on WiFi to move into the WiFi settings
4. Press the WiFi toggle (which is unticked) to enable WiFi
5. Notice the green tick appear and the word "Searching…", then quickly disappear (0.5 seconds)
6. Rinse and repeat

Here is the full logcat from startup to an attempt to enable WiFi: http://pastebin.com/ucmdiYRN

Note 1: If I use the 2012-07-15 GB build for Otoro then I am able to get WiFi working as expected and connect to local networks.

Note 2: If I use the 2012-08-06 ICS build for Otoro (on my GB device) then I am able to actually get the WiFi to enable and show the local networks, though it will not connect to any and gives the following logcat: http://pastebin.com/TWTgwrpU
Not sure if this bug is related to Bug 780066 - "The wifi function doesn't work if the wifi setttings is disabled after rebooting the device".

Could you kindly help to verify if WIP patch in Bug 780066 help to fix this bug ?
Please reference https://intranet.mozilla.org/B2G_Team/Otoro_ICS to let your Otoro phone working properly with ICS build. Otherwise mobile/wifi will not be functioning.

Better to migrate to Otoro-ICS, as GB is not a priority anymore.

The 2012-08-08 daily GB build for Otoro now has working WiFi (and other fixes).

It's not perfect, but it works now – you need to turn on WiFi, then force-quit and relaunch the settings app.
Firefox OS is not being worked on
