When I mouse over the login image in this page the image vanishes never to appear again and it makes it almost impossible to log in. You can kind of get there with tabbing but if you happen to mouse over the image you can't even tab onto it. This is used all over this site and it makes the site pretty useless.
Once you get the image into the cache it seems to show up when you mouse over. Also, when you mouse over you can actually see it reflow around the missing image to eat the space where the image was. Sweet.

I don't think so. This is new and that bug is pretty old. Plus, the alt text doesn't show up in this case. The page just reflows like the image vanished.

I am almost sure that this is a dup of bug 32269 The page in question doesn't have any ALT text for its images, and from 32269 if there is no ALT text, the image disappears entirely never to be moused-over again. That bug may be old, but it has gone through several changes-of-life. (I think 3 reopenings) So the fact that you just started seeing this may just be the latest reincarnation. (it seems to vary in intensity with each life)

What is the status of this bug? We need this for 0.9.1.
Changing OS to all. This is happening frequently for me on Windows, while browsing. This is dataloss. After I have moused over certain images, they disappear and thus I cannot access the link to which the image was pointing. Please revise the target milestone (currently 0.9.2) since this is, according to the status whiteboard, critical for 0.9.2
