Details

From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux 2.4.2-2 i686; en-US; 0.8.1) Gecko/20010326 BuildID: 2001032514 When I attempt to send mail using a mailing list defined in my address book, it is sent as <listname>@zianet.com, rather than expanding the list to <address 1>, <address 2>, <address 3>, ... <address n> This occurs whether I use the address book to insert the list name or I type in the list name in the composer. NOTE: This is a duplicate of bug #74829, which is supposedly fixed, yet I am still having this problem. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.start a new message 2.insert a mailing list name 3.click <send> Actual Results: Message sent with listname@zianet.com as the address, producing a failure message from the zianet.com mailer daemon. Expected Results: Expanded listname to address 1, address 2, address 3, address 4,... before sending.
Could you try a recent build? You're probably using 2001032514, that's from end of March. If this works fine with a recent build, this is a dupe of 78410 (which is fixed).
Is there a recent build that's stable enough to replace Release 0.8.1? If so, I'll give it a try, but I'm not a developer, so I try to use stable releases unless I don't have a choice.
You could test you mailing lists with the latest nightly and then install 0.9. 0.9 should be released really soon. It doesn't have the fix for the mailing lists, though.
Marking dupe. Please reopen if you still see this bug with a recent trunk or 0.9.1 build. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 78410 ***
