RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 779843

People

(Reporter: marcus.ilgner, Unassigned)

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.2; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/21.0.1180.89 Safari/537.1

Steps to reproduce:

I have an IRC and two XMPP accounts set up and close the lid of my notebook, causing it to sleep.
After waking it up and unlocking it, I find that my state is set to "Unavailable" because I have been away from the computer.

Actual results:

Setting the state back to "Available" does not work: it switches back to "Unavailable" even when entering a new status text.

Expected results:

The new state should be "Available"
Could it be similar or the same as Instantbird bug 1210 [1]?

You filed the bug against Thunderbird 15 and a comment [2] in the mentioned bug says that this problem will be fixed in Mozilla 17 (Instantbird already includes the patch though).

That bug was actually fixed for Mozilla 16 in bug 779843.

I don't know if the bug reported here is the same.
Sounds like it could be the same, yes. I switched back from Earlybird because of addon-incompatibilities, so I didn't test it with the pre-release.
