Build ID: 18.0a1 (2012-09-13) Nightly Channel Device: LG Slider OS: Android 2.3.4 Steps to reproduce: 1. Open older version of Fennec - my case 2012-09-13 2. Go to about:Firefox 3. Tap "Check for updates" Expected result: - You should receive a notification in the notification bar with a newer version of Nightly Actual result: - After the message "Looking for updates.." is displayed the "No updates available" even if there is a build from 17th September available
The snippets look ok: https://aus3.mozilla.org/update/4/Fennec/14.0a1/20100916041726/Android_arm-eabi-gcc3-armv6/en-US/nightly/Linux%202.6.32.9-27227-g3c98b0d/default/default/14.0a1/update.xml returns It's possible this is related to bug 791703, I don't know how many builds were affected by it...I don't know how to get additional information from Android for updates. cc'ing a few folks that may.

Oops, meant bug 789791.
This works for me. I was on 09/13 Nightly, checked for update and got the new updater to work and download 09/17. WFM.
What's your system locale set to?
I was using both en-US and multi locale. The build from 9/20 is working fine - so this bug can be close as WFM.
