when typing in a Facebook field, predictive text is not selecting the 'correct' word, but rather defaulting to the incorrectly-spelt word. See attachment.

The predictive text is something the keyboard provides.

However, predictive text works in other areas of the handset (email, SMS) which leads me to believe something wonky is going on within the browser.

re-nomming this as Chris Lord sees this same behaviour - it is NOT just me! There is something weird going on with predictive text in Firefox text fields that is NOT happening in other messaging applications on the same phone.

This definitely isn't invalid, I just really assumed that someone had noticed and was sorting it (my bad).

When you type, the keyboard shows you a correction, but hitting space doesn't enter the correction, just what you typed. Manually selecting the correction enters the correction.

I don't see this behaviour in anything except Firefox, and I see it with a completely stock Galaxy Nexus.

Chris what you're saying is different from what Karen is reporting, this really is invalid. Please open a new bug for what you're seeing.
