The following changes need to be made to correct the problems with the Crestron control system for SFO Commons. Before doing this, we should consider dumping the DM Matrix for an Extron switch that can handle the HDCP problem.
GLOBAL CHANGES - applicable to all control panes. ------------------------------
Off/Deselected buttons should be DIM.
On/Selected buttons should be BRIGHT.
Move the Mode Bar (Presentation, AudioConf VideoConf...) to top of screen.
All audio mute buttons cause a small note to appear on all panels indicating the muted input. (Small type similar to current "SFO Commons X5731" message).
Provide a "Control Only" start mode that connected the iPad to the room without lowering the screen and turning on the projector.
PRESENTATION PANE --------------------------------------------------------------
Fix bright/dim problems.
Replace Podium HDMI and Podium VGA buttons with a single Podium Setup button.
Replace Wall Plate HDMI, W.P. Video, W.P. VGA, and W.P. Component buttons with a single Rear Wall Setup button.
Add Encoder button to select the output of encoder1
Add AirPlay AppleTV button to select the output of the Apple TV.
Add Windower button to select the output of the MGP.
Add New 3-button group with Podium Setup, Rear Wall Setup, and Audio buttons that switch to new control panes.
AUDIO CONFERENCE PANE ----------------------------------------------------------
Fix bright/dim problems.
Rename "Ceiling Mic Disable" to "Mute Ceiling Mic" and ensure it posts mute message to all panels.
Remove blank buttons.
[ISSUE: Why is DIAL/PICKUP selected on start-up? ]
VIDEO CONFERENCE PANE ----------------------------------------------------------
There are now Crestron Drivers for Vidyo, we should use these rather than IR emulation (This may obsolete many comments in this section).
Fix bright/dim problems.
Rename "Ceiling Mic Disable" to "Mute Ceiling Mic" and ensure it posts mute message to all panels.
Add Join SFO-Commons, Join Brownbags & Join MoCo buttons. (With associated PIN UI - requires sub-panes in all probability).
Verify that all of the buttons on the right side of the CONTROLS sub-pane actually server a useful function.
[ ISSUE: Is "Far End Volume" actually different from the "Program Volume" that appears on other panes?]
SEND TO FAR END SUB-PANE -------------------------------------------------------
Replace all of the Podium and Wall Plate buttons with 2 buttons that select Podium or Rear Wall input, and add buttons that open the PODIUM SETUP PANE and the REAR WALL SETUP PANE.
Rename Satelite (sic) button (Cable TV?).
Rename "Windows Processor" button to "Windower".
Rename "Streaming" button to "Encoder".
Add "Airplay AppleTV" button.
[ISSUE: It's not clear that any of the "Send to Far End" buttons actually work.]
CABLE TV PANE ------------------------------------------------------------------
Decide whether to call this "Cable TV" or "Comcast Cable" and use the the chosen name consistently throughout the UI.
Fix the bright/dim problems.
ENVIRONMENT MODE PANE ----------------------------------------------------------
Fix Left and Right Monitor buttons to operate properly.
Fix the bright/dim problems.
ADVANCED MODE PANE ------------------------------------------------------------
Change name from ADVANCE to ADVANCED
Remove PIN lockout (unless someone can propose a valid reason for keeping it).
Change order of sub-pane buttons to: ENCODER (now STREAMING), WINDOWER, WINDOW PRESETS, AUDIO, AUX MONITOR. (Remove WIRELESS MIC SETUP - Those functions move to the Speech control group in the Audio Sub Pane.).

Harmonize name of "Comcast Cable" button.
Add button for AirPlay AppleTV.

Replace all of the Podium and Wall Plate buttons with 2 buttons that select Podium or Rear Wall input, and add buttons that open the PODIUM SETUP PANE and the REAR WALL SETUP PANE.
Add Vidyo button to both groups.
WINDOWER PRESETS SUB_PANE ------------------------------------------------------

Crestron can generate MacOS control panels as well as iOS control panels. When making these changes we should ensure that we get both versions.

Closing this for now. We should get a UX team review of the Sidewinder interface and open a bug for Sidewinder2.
