Just for clarification on the move: usually redirects within www.mozilla.org are handled by webdev, in an .htaccess file... which happens to live in the old PHP codebase (as opposed to Bedrock/Django). :)

Now that webprod can manage redirects, is this bug easier for us to take on internally? Like could pmac or mkelly or sancus take it on?

The redirects that recently moved into webprod were the /b or bedrock redirects.
The legacy redirects (anything on mozilla.org not served by bedrock) are in a rather large .htaccess file in the svn repo.
In both cases our group can adjust this without IT.
That being said i'd like to hear back from Ken on bug #724672 just to be sure, it's been a few months since we discussed this.

We will be creating a landing page on bedrock at /access.
This bug is no longer valid.

Adding a note here to clarify. After additional discussion this bug is completely not valid. Please see Bug 878039 for decided upon approach.
