Please implement a blanket redirect from http://www.mozilla.org/access to https://developer.mozilla.org/docs/Accessibility Redirecting all requests to that main page. Discussion and approval can be found here: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=724672
Assignee: server-ops-webops → nobody
Component: Server Operations: Web Operations → Legacy PHP system
Product: mozilla.org → www.mozilla.org
QA Contact: cshields
Just for clarification on the move: usually redirects within www.mozilla.org are handled by webdev, in an .htaccess file... which happens to live in the old PHP codebase (as opposed to Bedrock/Django). :)
Now that webprod can manage redirects, is this bug easier for us to take on internally? Like could pmac or mkelly or sancus take it on?
Flags: needinfo?
The redirects that recently moved into webprod were the /b or bedrock redirects. The legacy redirects (anything on mozilla.org not served by bedrock) are in a rather large .htaccess file in the svn repo. In both cases our group can adjust this without IT. That being said i'd like to hear back from Ken on bug #724672 just to be sure, it's been a few months since we discussed this.
Flags: needinfo?
We will be creating a landing page on bedrock at /access. This bug is no longer valid.
