Details
When attempting to upload a new version of Enigmail, and when trying to validate an existing version of Enigmail such as v1.4.4, I get: "Error: Internal server error" and nothing is validated. Obviously I cannot upload a new version this way. However, if I return later to the "Status & Versions" page, I can see that the file has a validation result. See e.g. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/developers/addon/enigmail/file/163739/validation
Please attach the XPI that you're experiencing the issue with.
Attached file Failing XPI
This is the XPI I tried to upload. I "solved" the upload issue by removing the binary components for Gecko 15 (and thus break my rule of supporting the current and the next version of Thunderbird & SeaMonkey). Therefore I assume that the size matters.
This was caused by an nginx timeout. Jason says that he tweaked the configuration and it should prevent the issue from occurring. The changes will be pushed out tomorrow with our release. In the interim, it seems that most of the errors returned by the validator are HTML syntax errors. Please consider fixing some of these, as it'll decrease the volume of validator output and help prevent timeouts in the future. http://pastebin.mozilla.org/1863315
