localization is niet alleen vertaling een betere vertaling zou zijn localizatie (of iets in die trant)

Ik ken het verschil tussen vertaling en lokalisatie, maar of dat laatste in alle gevallen beter is, valt te betwijfelen; soms wordt ‘localization’ gehanteerd waar het wel alleen om vertaling gaat. Maar het is evengoed aangepast, ook gezien de tekst erachter.

ik had niet anders verwacht dan dat je het verschil kent :-)  ik was alleen bang dat vertaling in dit geval de lading niet zou dekken en dat blijkt anders had je het niet aangepast;-)

probably in a few weeks, there are many server side bugs to fix before we activate it, for example we can't push this page to production on a  per locale basis today. Also note that there are email responses to translate (they are in your svn repository in the emails folder), and we will also need a person in the Dutch community that will manage incoming requests in Dutch done through this page (that means that we need an email address from your community to add to this form).

Ton can you translate the responses

I will be managing the incoming requests and will make the alias [e-mail] is anyone want to be in the forwarding of this alias send me a note

Good catch, but where did you find it (live)? According to Pascal, this is probably a leftover from some older version containing a map for visually impaired users.

Nevertheless, it has been changed in r111321 along with a draft for the email responses. A check of these would be welcome.

It’s not on the live site, I suppose it’s been replaced by ‘location’ or something like that. It just caught my eye.

On the email responses:
I saw a couple of instances of ‘posten’, which IMHO should be changed to other words: ‘vragen posten’ -> ‘vragen stellen’ (in addons.txt); ‘posten’ -> ‘plaatsen’ (design.txt).
In education.txt: ‘veel plezier hebben’ -> ‘veel plezier te hebben’
In qa.txt: ‘Controleer de onderstaande…’ -> ‘Kijk eens naar de onderstaande…’
In support.txt: ‘…voel u dan vrij…’ -> ‘…aarzel dan niet…’
Not sure whether there is a separate bug for this, but since you asked here…

‘Voel u…’ occurred in other files as well and no, this is the right bug for the responses.

Ton, I can push your page today, there is 2 things to take into account though:
- The localized automated answers are not working at the moment (Bug 823536)
- The video is not displayed subtitled (Bug 769715)

That said, I have pushed a couple of locales already and for French, we receive 3 requests on average per day, so it's worth it even without automatic responses. Fo I push to prod? :)

Not sure where it comes from, but I am seeing ‘helpen van Firefox=gebruikers’ under Gebruikers helpen (Helping Users). The ‘=’ should be replaced by ‘-’.
