79883 - Using MSN Messenger to log into Hotmail produces infinite browser windows

When clicking on the "check mail" icon of Microsoft Network Instant Messendger
imidiatly after installing .9 (.8 was unistalled first) it began opening windows
at a rate far exceding my ability to close them.  I assume this would have
happend until all available memory filled.  Before things got out of hand and
brought the machine down I ctrl alt deleted the damn thing and ended the task.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.install msnm
2.no try to access your mail acoutn from it
3.now try to close the windows faster than a 800mhz athalon with 256mg of ram
can open them ;)

Actual Results:  It took the whole damn OS down this time and I had to reboot
and start filling out this form all over again... ANOYING!

Expected Results:  umm well.. Iwould have expected it to open ONE window and
show the contents of the inbox of my hotmail acount.

This is bad guys... on a less experiance users machine this would have totally
taken over the machine and more than likely brought it to its knee's.. after
several hours :P... I'm gonna do this again and let it bomb real good and try to
capture the exact state of mozilla.  if ya give a rats ass email me back at
[e-mail]

THIS IS REALLY NASTY  *sigh*  why do I get the fealing M$ is to blame for this
somehow... works fine in netscape :/

Here's what I tried:

1. Open MSN Messenger (3.6.0026).
2. Click on the link "102 new e-mail messages" link.
3. Press Esc as soon as IE opens.
4. Copy the URL (C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\sfdB372.htm).
5. Open Mozilla.
6. Paste URL into Mozilla and press enter.

When I did this in Mozilla 05/06 Win98, it worked fine -- I was taken to my 
Hotmail inbox, and no additional windows opened.

[e-mail], do you get the same results when following the steps 
above?  Are you able to reproduce this bug using different steps?  (Also, have 
you tried a newer version of Mozilla?)

I;m using the latest milestone of mozilla (.9)

it would apear its actually a bug caused by the older version of MSIM.  
I reluctantly upgraded to the newest version of that and teh bug went 
away.  ??? M$ up too its usual tricks I suppose :\
