Twitter: It would be very convenient to have a permalink to the webpage for a tweet provided when it is displayed. It is conventional among twitter clients to make the timestamp an anchor with the permalink as its target.
Isn't that right-click on the tweet, followed by "Copy Link to Tweet" ?
Ah, so it is; been using it daily for weeks and didn't find that, thanks. :) I see no reason why there shouldn't also be an active anchor in the conventional place.
Having the date clickable as a link doesn't really make much sense since this is up to the theme being used. There might be an issue with the context menu not being discoverable enough...and it would be great to include a way to show icons, etc. for each message...but it needs to be done in a protocol and theme agnostic way. Anyway, this is about being able to get the link to the tweet, which is possible. So I'm closing this as WORKSFORME.
