You can run more than one stub-installer at the same time, like a version created yesterday and a version created today, and the installation won't succeed. Steps: 1. Download two stub-installers, one from, say, yesterday and one from today: ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/2012-10-14-04-20-11-mozilla-aurora/ ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-mozilla-aurora/ 2. Use one of them to start installing Aurora and while this happens try the other installer to do the same. Expected: One of the installers should quit and give me an error that says there's an installer already running. Actual: One of the installers seems to complete the installation, but nothing seems to get installed. While the other installer hangs and the process needs to be killed with the task manager. You can re-run one of the installers and everything is fine after that.

Not sure if this is an edgecase I care about or that users will run into without intentionally trying to run into it.

I don't think this is something that should be fixed so WONTFIX'ing.
