There are some parts of the privacy policy that are out of date (last updated 23 Feb).

Some parts include:

"If you purchase an App, we sign your receipt with the Persona user name (usually an email address) that you registered with the Firefox Marketplace through Persona."

We just use a random string now.

"For an enhanced Marketplace experience, you may opt in to link your Marketplace account with your accounts on social networks."

Never seen that ability.

"If you wish to use payments in your product, we will ask for your real legal name and address in order to validate your identity and manage the Firefox Marketplace."

Perhaps that's just replace "will" with "may", since we don't do that.

"Add-ons installed in Firefox and other Mozilla products may check for new versions of those Add-ons with the Firefox Marketplace each day"

Packaged apps do that too.

"When you log in with BrowserID to the Firefox Marketplace, the BrowserID service sends us your email address. You can browse the Firefox Marketplace without "

BrowserID should Persona. BrowersID appears intermittently throughout the document.

"Firefox sends daily messages to Mozilla with metadata that helps ensure that you have the latest updates when you install an Add-on."

Packaged apps do that too.

"When you install a paid or free App, we send a digital receipt of that App to the developer of the App. "

We send it to the App. It would be to the App to send it to the developer, we don't do that.

"The digital receipt contains your Persona username (usually your email address) as well as other information."

"A list of third-party vendors that are authorized payment processors for the Marketplace are available here.[Link TBD]"

I know that payments are still up in the air, but we can at least put up a page that says "no vendors yet".

"A list of third party vendors that process information on Mozilla’s behalf related to the Firefox Marketplace can be found here.[Link TBD]"

Again Link TBD.

Nothing about proposed carrier billing, although not sure we need anything.

With the marketplace going live in Aurora, might be a good time to revise this.

Meeting set with privacy policy to review and update. Added Alina Hua to list.
I had previously reported an issue with anonymous installs and the statement of the privacy policy in https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=765763

The issue is that the privacy policy states that you have to be logged in to install an app. That's not true. You can install (free) apps without logging in.
David - Let's set a time to meet and discuss. Could you schedule a time for a meeting or call early next week? Please include me and Denelle Dixon-Thayer. Thanks!
Not part of the on-device requirements for ship. Removing nom.

Did this happen?
I did not meet with David on this, but heard that he had talked with Jishnu last week.

David - Could you provide an update?

> Updated Bug 803784 with new privacy policy.

I'd like to see the policy but the site says I don't have permission to see the bug.

Is there anywhere I can see the policy?
Attached file Not final version.
This isn't a final version as it needs some information about a newsletter.
