I enjoyed playing with FB Social APIs all day (15+ hours).
I wasn't able to share or find the "recommend" feature the naturally, so I set tdown and systematically looked through bugzilla.
I found https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=765874 which caused be to see that... there is an ackward like icon in the address bar.
Perhaps with more training, I would know to look there, but I never look in the address bar and completely missed this new peppering of chrome into my address bar.
I expected a LIKE or STATUS UPDATE feature in the group of buttons where the 4 FB buttons are.

I'm inclined to agree. OTOH, it could be done now if the providers so choose as they can make as many buttons/panels as they like. It wouldn't be possible to be 1-click recommending, but that's almost an anti-feature in itself.

Actually, a recommend panel couldn't currently be implemented - it has no access the currently open URL (which is a per-requisite). However giving that URL to every panel as it opens has privacy implications.
So it's not quite as simple as "use a new toolbar icon/panel"

Share is being reworked in bug 818675. One requirement under consideration for share is that we support non-social-provider share providers, which would necessitate the button being on its own rather than as a part of the social provider button.
Depends on: 818675
