Hi all. I'm almost done the first draft for this month. I just have a questions:

• What do we want to do for the l10n version of the add-ons story. If we write a blurb about all 12, that's going to be a really long article. I thought a simple solution would be to just list them and make each one a link to the add-on page, but let me know if you have any other ideas.

• What's the status on the social API blog post and story? I wrote a newsletter piece that's based mostly on copy that Facebook has already seen and approved, so it shouldn't be a problem, but I was wondering if we're still running that this month.

• Add-ons are still outstanding. It won't be a problem to write those up quickly whenever they come in, but I wanted to flag it.

Thanks!

That would be a "few" questions, of course.

I think Jess said list them out - but Jess, can you confirm?

Don't know. We're waiting out the week to see what happens. The blog post was sent for approval, but I don't have a status yet. We may move it to January. I'll keep you posted.

Just got them today, waiting for approval from Jorge, hopefully I'll have that by tomorrow.

Hey Matej! When we spoke last week, we decided to list all 12 with a super short blurb. Then when I send it to localizers, they'll either choose to have all of them - or will pick the # that works in their locale/that they'd like to feature.

The key is making sure the intro blurb, title, and story content are flexible to either be the "top 12" or "top x" addons in case they do not choose to show all 12.

Let me know if that make sense or if you have any further questions. Thanks!

We did decide that, didn't we? Sorry, I totally forgot. I'll add the descriptions tomorrow and I should have the draft ready for review around midday Pacific time. Thanks!

Hi Matej,

Could you craft a small paragraph to add to our December copy? Lee has designed some Firefox wallpapers (bug 798424 if you'd like to look at them) not only for computer sizes but also phone sizes.

I spoke to Winston about it, and we'd like to include in the newsletter as kind of a "holiday gift for you, from Firefox." We may end up using this instead of Social API for December (depending on timing and approvals) or we may use it in addition to.

Also, here are the add-ons for December

Officially, they are:

Pick of the month:

Collusion https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/collusion/

Runner-ups

TinyURL Generator https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/tinyurl-generator/
DuckDuckGo https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/duckduckgo-for-firefox

However, we just promoted TinyURL, so I've pulled up the next in line.

Cookie Controller https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/cookie-controller

OK, here's the first draft:

https://docs.google.com/a/mozilla.com/document/d/1HpnDpqwXoDzveIz2VYcgqW3RgI9xJrn0HPcHtVyj4bY/edit

I think I've captured everything in the outline and comments, but let me know if anything is missing or unclear.
