Details

Emptying the trash using the option File | Empty trash does remove the messages
from the trash folder. However if one moves the mouse over the trashfolder
without clicking, the yellow pop-up line still displays the old amount of
messages. Compacting folders does not change the reported number of messages
either. Clicking the trashbox does.

confirming using commercial trunk build 2001062606 on win98

I had pop inbox selected in the folder pane. I dragged and dropped about 3 
messages into trash folder in pop account. Do not select the trash folder or 
click on trash folder yet.  Select file|empty trash. Mouse over to trash folder 
and it still shows 0/3 as visuals. But if you click on the trash folder and then 
mouse over it shows 0/0. Also when I click on the trash folder messages are 
emptied from the trash.
