The Mozilla annual report, called State of Mozilla, will be public on November 11. If your translation, is ready for this date, it will be published and promoted simultaneously as English, but since mozilla.org does continuous deployment, we can of course push your translation whenever it is ready of course.

This year the report is on 2 pages but longer pages than last year.

The pages on the staging site is there:
https://www-demo1.allizom.org/b/mr/foundation/annualreport/2011/
https://www-demo1.allizom.org/b/mr/foundation/annualreport/2011/faq

Note that the pages design is not final but the text content is, so you will probably see visual changes to this page before it becomes public.

There are videos linked but they are not available, as soon as we have them, we will probably use the Universal Subtitles service to translate them.

There are 2 lang files to translate:
https://svn.mozilla.org/projects/mozilla.com/trunk/locales/fr/foundation/annualreport/2011faq.lang
https://svn.mozilla.org/projects/mozilla.com/trunk/locales/fr/foundation/annualreport/2011.lang

As usual, send these translation directly on svn or attach the files to this bug and I will send them myself. Use a pure text editor and make sure the file is saved in UTF8

If you see visual issues for your locale (bad fonts, overflowing content, margins...), please indicate it in this bug.

There is one string that has two undefined numerals in the same sentence (we don't have the numbers yet) that may cause problem for locales with complex plurals (Breton, Polish...) but should not be a problem for most of the locales, here it is:

Mozillaâs consolidated reported revenue (Mozilla Foundation and all subsidiaries) for 2011 was %(revenue)s million, up approximately %(increase)s percent from 2010.

As soon as we get these numbers, I will spread this information so as that you can adjust your sentence if necessary.

If you have any problem, don't hesitate to ask me!

Thanks

Pascal

why the bug is marked as resolved? why won't you fix for the locale?
Aniket are you volunteering to work on this bug? I am marking as wontfix because nobody stepped in to translate those pages in the last 6 months and at some point, we need to move on, but if you want to do it, I'll be happy to reopen and prepare the server for your locale :)
Yes, i am working on this bug. The translation is still not complete. I need some time probably a week.
reopening then :)

From Comment 7,

Translations reviewed (please see the diff via attachment titled 'l10n.patch').

Following were observed while review process:

+ Extra white-space should be avoided
+ Punctuation marks should be intact
+ Maintain FUEL compatibility for terminology consistency
+ Proofread translations before submitting for review
+ Long sentence(s) needs extra proofreading

Aniket,
1) Please incorporate the said corrections mentioned in attachment titled 'l10n.patch'

What are the questions?

I guess one would be: whether to use 'Mozillaसाठी' or 'Mozilla साठी'.
'Mozillaसाठी' is preferred.

Yes, that was one of the question. We need more proofreading for larger strings. My question is can we localize the file in parts? I think we will have better proofreading from this and it will be easier to maintain terminology conisitency.

Despite strings being short or large; proofreading is essential post-localization to maintain quality translation(s).

I prefer translating a file fully and later proofreading it post localization.

If you wish to proofread your last submitted translations in Comment 10, you can do so. Else, i can proceed with review.

Looking forward...

From Comment 19 and Comment 20

Firstly, thanks for the localization. Nice work!!

Translations reviewed (please see the diff via http://pastebin.mozilla.org/2386702).

Following were observed while review process:
+ Take care of currency conversion (while converting USD amount to Rupee amount, current USD-INR conversion rate is very important)
+ Grammatical correction required in couple of translations (rest seems good to me)

Aniket,
1) Please incorporate the said corrections mentioned in http://pastebin.mozilla.org/2386702
2) Re-submit the revised translation patch (set flag: review ? as sshedmak@redhat.com).
