See also bug 807080 and bug 798157. Here, like 798157, we also have the ATI proprietary driver.

(In reply to Karl Tomlinson (:karlt) from comment #1) > See also bug 807080 and bug 798157. > > Here, like 798157, we also have the ATI proprietary driver. This problem happens even if I disable HWA. So I think this is not related HWA and drivers.

On X11, Gecko uses HWA even with layers.acceleration.disabled set to false. The prefs only control the choice between OpenGL and RENDER acceleration. Also, regardless of what Gecko does, the window manger uses the graphics driver.

Tracking for release as the regressing bug seems to have affected the default theme on linux as per my understanding and passing it on to Karl . Karl please let us know if this needs to be re-assigned .

Adding QA to help verify the issue here is fixed after 798157 lands on aurora.

Alice0775 could you help me verify this bug on Nightly and Aurora? I'll give it a try on a machine in the QA lab, but I don't think we have a machine with that gfx card and Linux.

I can verify this bug (when I get a chance to use a newer nightly).

I can confirm this was fixed in Nightly19.0a1. http://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/a761bfc192b5 Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:19.0) Gecko/19.0 Firefox/19.0 ID:20121115030705 However, I can reproduce the problem in Aurora18.0a2. http://hg.mozilla.org/releases/mozilla-aurora/rev/0d76df6f808d Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:18.0) Gecko/18.0 Firefox/18.0 ID:20121115042012

Alice0775, I apologize, I think the patch hasn't landed in Aurora yet. I'll check in Aurora when the fix for bug 798175 lands there.

Alice, could you confirm this is fixed in Firefox 18beta1? Tried to reproduce on Ubuntu 12.04 with fglrx and STR in comment 0, but was unsuccessful.
