Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:17.0) Gecko/17.0 Firefox/17.0 Build ID: 20121031065642 STR: 1. Go to http://www.facebook.com/about/messenger-for-firefox and click Turn On. 2. Log into Facebook. 3. Open a chat panel for anyone in the SocialAPI sidebar. 3. Resize Firefox. When resizing Firefox horizontally, the chat panel is displayed until it can fit the browser window, then it disappears. When resizing Firefox vertically, the chat panel keeps being displayed at any browser window size. When the panel meets the toolbars, and tabs and menu bars, it is displayed partially under some bar elements, and over others. When meeting the title bar, it gets under it.

Checked that it also reproduces on Windows.
OS: Linux → All
Hardware: x86 → All
Here is a screenshot displaying the issue. The chat panel should automatically minimize at a certain window size. At the very least it should not be overlapping chrome elements.
I'm nominating this for tracking. Sizing the window to reproduce this is probably not a common use-case but it still looks pretty bad.

Not worth tracking for Firefox 17, IMO - not a common user action and the result isn't disastrous. We can probably uplift a fix to Aurora.

Not a release blocker, but definitely request uplift when there's a fix in hand.
