User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.0; rv:16.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/16.0 Build ID: 20121024073032 Steps to reproduce: Dragged a browser tab. Actual results: Sometimes when dragging tabs, the tab position pointer doesn't go away after dragging has ended; it remains until tab dragging begins again. Expected results: The tab position pointer should have disappeared after tab dragging ended.
It's not predictable; it seems to just happen randomly, albeit not frequently. Priority can be lowered to minor or trivial as this is just a cosmetic issue which (for the most part) does not interfere with normal functionality or productivity.
It may be worthwhile to check with a F17 version. there's a few dragging issues resolved that might make this go away.

¡Hola! Greetings from LATAM QA meetup. We've tested your bug on Nightly (42.0) and Developer Edition (41.0) and we're unable to reproduce this bug as described. Could you please update your version and let us know if this still happens? If it does, could you please retry with add-ons disabled? ¡Gracias!

It's been a while since I've observed this phenomenon, so it may have been resolved. I suspect, however, that it was a memory-related issue, as not too long ago, when I had only 4GB of RAM, Firefox would start working sluggishly and not behave correctly whenever its memory consumption got up around 1GB and would require a restart. (Now that I've got 32GB of RAM Firefox can sometimes consume up to 1.2GB before it needs to be restarted.) Since the issue hasn't happened recently, I'll go ahead and close this ticket.
