I am getting this when starting my just compiled SM 2.16a1/Linux x86_64: XPCOMGlueLoad error for file /home/hafi/seam/1211081423/seamonkey/l libxul.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or director Couldn't load XPCOM. Indeed not usable because my SM will not start. *g*

(In reply to Philip Chee from comment #3) > Created attachment 679686 [details] [diff] [review] > Patch v1.0 SeaMonkey packaging fix. That fixes my Linux x86_64
I wonder whether we also need to (eventually) port the configure.in changes from http://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/2df5960779db (I'm really not an expert in that field).
See in bug 809937 comment #0 an unclipped copy of the error in comment #1 above, as obtained with today's linux-x86_64 nightly and hourly build downloaded from ftp.mozilla.org. With me, today's SeaMonkey exits immediately at startup with exit code 255. No nightly yesterday (tinderbox purple) and yesterday's hourly had a crashing bug at ChatZilla startup. The 20121106003013 build is OK.

Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:19.0) Gecko/19.0 Firefox/19.0 SeaMonkey/2.16a1 ID:20121110003004 c-c:0e87bd250f40 m-c:a47525b93528 I see I haven't yet VERIFIED this. FTR, this build (and yesterday's) started normally, not exhibiting the behaviour in comment #1 (and bug 809337 comment #0). I'm setting this VERIFIED on the assumption that the fix is platform-agnostic. If you still see this bug on a build started later than comment #9, you may REOPEN, but be sure to leave a comment including, if possible, the contents of the seamonkey*.txt found next to the *.installer.exe and *.zip (for Windows) or to the *.dmg (for mac) or to the *.tar.bz2 (for linux) in the same directory for the same platform.
