There are minor tweaks but it's worth calling out the giant image in the featured section.  We currently have a "Large Promo Graphic" field only changable by admins for each app.  We should use that field (it was created for this purpose and is unused thus far).

We do some logic with only displaying features in groups of three, but that will need to change once this lands.  I suspect we'll have a group of "real" features and a group of filler features to fill in any blanks, but that's just a guess from my conversations with Diana.  She's working with UX on figuring out what the feature manager tool looks like (how to choose what is in the giant promo spot) and I'll file a separate bug for that.  In the mean time we can use the current field and just pick an app that has the large image to show.

The giant featured desktop app is still missing but most apps don't have that featured graphic available anyway.

8 categories would be fewer than the 9 we show on mobile. Wouldn't we want to show more on desktop?

I vote for adding a third row to the categories. If we added a fourth row we would have room for our 15 existing categories with an extra square. We could put some kind of placeholder image in that space so it doesn't look funny. Michael, have any thoughts?

I vote for displaying all categories, we definitely have the space to do so.

Question concerning the display/feature area: Are developers required or at least prompted to submit a larger icon for "Feature display" consideration? If not, then the icons for the feature area will be blown out and we don't want that. I would suggest adding it to the submit process for it can add incentive and reaffirm Marketplace's position as an open and equal app store.

Featured icons are separate images, currently controlled by feature admins right now.

Can we move forward with the feature area design displayed in the initial post for now? I can create a large feature areas like that of "AirBRB", for each of the smaller feature apps.

We may have to rethink how we submit and feature for v2, but this can work for now.
