Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; WOW64; rv:17.0) Gecko/17.0 Firefox/17.0 Probably a facebook bug. 1. Log in to facebook. 2. Receive a notification from facebook to turn on messenger for firefox (see attachment) (I receive it anytime when logging in, but doesn't happen for all accounts) 3. Click the turn on button. Actual result: no action performed. The social messenger for firefox is not activated - no messages displayed. The prefs in about:config remain unchanged.
