Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:17.0) Gecko/17.0 Firefox/17.0 RCbuild2 Having some addons installed (like 4shared.com Community Toolbar, IncrediMail MediaBar 2 Community Toolbar) causes new tabs to not display when opened using the + button. Reproducible: intermittent (3 out of 10) Steps: 1. Install 4shared.com Community Toolbar or IncrediMail MediaBar 2 Community Toolbar add-on (http://downloadmytoolbar.com/4shared/LP/download.html, http://incredimailmediabar2.ourtoolbar.com/ ) 2. Open some tabs (more than the tabs strip allows) 3. Close some tabs randomy and open new ones using the "+" (new tab) button Expected result: all tabs opened are displayed in the tab strip Actual result: sometimes, the new tabs are not displayed in the tab strip (although they are open). Restarting Firefox (with restoring previous session option selected) makes them show in the tab strip
Does this reproduce in any other Firefox builds?
I tried on 16.0.2 but I didn't reproduce (not sure if because of the intermittence or it is not affected, though). Will update with new results when available.
Mihaela, any update here? It would be worth noting if any errors appear in Error Console when this problem occurs.

(In reply to Anthony Hughes, Mozilla QA (:ashughes) from comment #3) > Mihaela, any update here? It would be worth noting if any errors appear in > Error Console when this problem occurs. Ignore previous comment, it was submitted by mistake. Having 4shared.com Community toolbar 3.5.1.0 installed, I reproduced the issue again. In error console I got the following errors: Timestamp: 11/27/2012 10:30:50 AM Error: NS_ERROR_FAILURE: Component returned failure code: 0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE) [nsITypeAheadFind.setDocShell] Source File: chrome://browser/content/tabbrowser.xml Line: 886 Timestamp: 11/27/2012 10:30:50 AM Error: TypeError: BcApiObj is undefined Source File: http://api.conduit.com/BrowserCompApi.js Line: 338 Closing Firefox (from the X button) afterwards leaves the process running in background (bug 813563).
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:20.0) Gecko/20.0 Firefox/20.0 On latest Nightly, the issue is reproducible without having those error messages in the error console, but other error appears: Timestamp: 11/27/2012 11:43:19 AM Error: TypeError: oToolbarManager_CT2233703.data.componentsIds is null Source File: chrome://4shared.com/content/ctoolbar.js Line: 7956 After a browser restart, the following errors appear: Timestamp: 11/27/2012 12:00:26 PM Error: TypeError: oToolbarManager_CT2233703.data.componentsIds is null Source File: chrome://4shared.com/content/ctoolbar.js Line: 7956 Timestamp: 11/27/2012 12:00:27 PM Error: Error: Permission denied to access property 'isSupportedFunction' Source File: http://api.conduit.com/BrowserCompApi.js Line: 2292 Timestamp: 11/27/2012 12:00:38 PM Error: TypeError: BcApiObj is undefined Source File: http://api.conduit.com/BrowserCompApi.js Line: 338 (this error message appears several times) Timestamp: 11/27/2012 12:00:42 PM Error: TypeError: apiObj.logUrl is not a function Source File: file:////home/mihaelavelimiroviciu/.mozilla/firefox/8qr533lw.nn/CT2233703/Dialogs/DialogsAPI.js Line: 109
Adding some Conduit contacts who might be able to help here.

Hi, My name is Shiran and I'm from the support team in Conduit. Just to clear something, are we talking only on Linux OS?
(In reply to Shiran Conduit from comment #9) > Hi, > My name is Shiran and I'm from the support team in Conduit. > > Just to clear something, are we talking only on Linux OS? I haven't been able to reproduce on Windows (7) so far. On Mac (10.7.5), installing the add-on (4shared community toolbar) makes Firefox unusable (cannot interact with the window). This seems to happen because of the "Congratulations" pop-up which appears but is not displayed entirely so you cannot dismiss it, nor use Firefox.
Hi, we uploaded a new supported version for Firefox 17. the toolbar version is 3.16.0.3 please let me know if issue still reproduced. Thanks

Thanks Mihaela. I think this bug can be marked RESOLVED WORKSFORME since the latest version of the add-on does not exhibit this bug.
