After updating to version 17, I can no longer open my addons menu.

Steps to reproduce:
I simply went to "Help, About" and let Firefox update itself to version 17.
Actual results:
Addons menu no longer opens, and the extension "add-on update checker" can no longer open the "available updates" page. Everything with my addons was fine before updating Firefox to version 17.
Expected results:
Opening the addons page should obviously list all your addons and stuff you can do with them just like normal and always in the past.

Please try Safe Mode https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode . If it helps, try disabling some of your add-ons to see which of them affects the issue.
Well known Tab Mix Plus causes this failure
