I'nm seeing this too. I have to go to Task Manager on win2k to kill the process
to exit completely. Build 2001051704.

Win2k here as well.  I've been trying to narrow this down, and I've had no luck.
 There seems to be no one window that causes it.

As noted in bug 79775 (the one where Forward Inline, Edit Message as New, Edit
Draft or Edit Templates doesn't work after launching the app the 2nd time), if
you try to use any of these functions and then File|Close all the windows to
close the app the process continues and you can't relaunch until you End the
Task.  If you use File|Exit the process ends.   This is not uncommon for someone
to do a File|Close all the windows to end the app and it's not uncommon for
someone to try to use the broken Forward button.  So this could be the source of 
the problem on Windows.

on mac (5/17/01 build) I see hangs closing the mail window, starting up, and
especially shutting down. the app/mac is not locked up (my menubar clock is
ticking), it just takes its own sweet time shutting down.

could it be gc'ing or something?

Running on Win2k I have been having to kill off netscp6 processes that are left
around after I exit or crash in order to restart the browser.  I have been using
the daily builds for the last 2 weeks.

I take it for granted that I'm going to have to kill the process after exiting,
but I'm running an old build (20010430) and was assuming that was fixed in more
recent builds.

After crashing many times with yesterday, 5/17, win32 build, I am no longer able 
to run that build anymore...  I hang right after splash screen comes up.  
Killing the process, trying it again, still the same thing, hang after splash 
screen.

I have a debug mojo build from 5/16, I can still start that up without a 
problem.

This bug is about unreproduceable hangs in "recent builds" and it's from May
2001, last comment a year ago.
I really think someone should close this bug; I would set it WORKSFORME.
