The add-on manager is a familiar interface to managing "external" additions to Firefox. It should be possible to inspect and manipulate Social API providers from the Add-on Manager, making it easy to remove providers in a way that is familiar to users of other add-ons.

Here's an initial patch that allows for enabling/disabling providers via about:addons. It also uses the addon blocklist to cover bug 756591. "uninstall" can happen if the manifest pref is a user level pref, otherwise a provider cannot be uninstalled. The "more" link in the listing does not work yet.
