Actual results:

Not a regression, same behavior since CTP landed in FF 14.
The dark grey can be seen also on youtube.

This is because the youtube iframe sets a black background color, and the CTP frame is slightly transparent.

There is also bug 775020 about changing the design of the CTP overlay, so if we decide to change it, these bugs are probably dupes.
