Steps to reproduce:
1. Open https://www.facebook.com/about/messenger-for-firefox
2. Click on "Turn On" to activate
3. Log in to Facebook with your account
4. Resize this window to fill a half of the screen
5. Open another window with https://wiki.mozilla.org/Releases/Firefox_18/Test_Plan#Beta_4 and resize it to fill the other half of the screen
6. On the left window, click on the facebook Notification button and scroll up and down through notifications.

Expected result: While scrolling through notifications, the page from background should not move.

Actual result:  While scrolling through notifications, the background page is moving as well.

This affects any browser that happens to be in the background of the notification.

Not affecting Latest Nightly and Latest Aurora because the notification panel does not exceed the margins of it's own window (see attachment).

Seems a bit like a platform/popup issue - the scroll event that is scrolling the popup isn't blocked from scrolling the page behind the popup, or something?

I'm not able to reproduce this, though I tested with the Messages panel. I don't have enough notifications to enable scrolling. Virgil, can you please confirm:

1. Whether this only happens on the Notifications panel
2. Whether this only affects Mac OSX
3. What Nightly this stopped reproducing (assuming some point during 19.0a1).

This also happens for scrolling in the Messages list - harder to check with the Friends list.

This only affects Mac OS X. Not affecting Windows and Ubuntu.

First good nightly: 2012-11-13
Last bad nightly: 2012-11-12

Didn't bisect, but bug 807422 should be the one that fixed this.

If that's the case then it only obscures the bug, not fixes it.
