Loading <url:http://www.libpng.org/pub/png/pngs-img.html> in Mozilla 0.9 immediately exhibits two problems. First, the valid HTML image should be transparent on the right side. Secondly, the background of the penguin should be transparent. Additionally, I believe I saw a problem with the valid XHTML image at <url:http://validator.w3.org/>. The bottom right corner of the image shows a grey line that I believe should be transparent. However, this problem seems to disappear if you reload the page or move to another program and back. These are all probably related. System Information: Windows 98 SE Diamond Viper V770 Ultra (driver v4.12.01.0368) 16-bit color depth 1024x768 screen resolution
May be a dup of bug 50974? Jake
I agree with hoju that this is a dupe of bug 50974. Reporter do you agree? If not how is yours different?
Yes, looks like a duplicate in the first case at <url:http://www.libpng.org/pub/png/pngs-img.html>. The test case linked to by Chris Hill in bug 50974 (<url:http://members.home.com/chill244/binpng.html>) doesn't work. However, I'm unsure about the image at <url:http://validator.w3.org/>. Can anyone reproduce that? Perhaps a different bug?
Duping. Reporter if your unsure file another bug report on it and we can look at it. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 50974 ***

Other bug reported as http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=82438. It was unrelated, a problem with a transparent GIF.
