I think this needs to go over to Bill who works on this dialog.

mscott: what build of mozilla were you using when you changed the summary,
or did you do it intentionally?

hmm I was using BUILD: 2001052204. and no I i didn't intend to change the
subject. All I did was reassing the bug and add a coment. I hope our bugzilla
corruption bug isn't back again! looks like we keep dropping the " characters in
the summary line.

it happened again. filed bug 82564. I just tested with 052304 win32 build and
initial submit trimmed the first and last " from my submit.

It's working as intended. The theory was that you might want to look at or
change the default action independent of choosing to actually *use* it.
Should we disable the button anyway, just to be symmetric?
The one drawback to the current behavior is that a user just might get peeved if
they click on the "Set Default..." button, configure the setting, and then be
shocked to find that that default action wasn't used when they pressed OK. Of
course, they would have first had to have gone and clicked on the "use a
different action" selection so it shouldn't come as a complete surprise that we
used a different action...
Anyway, German, can you provide guidance on this? It's probably moot since
you're working on changes to this dialog that will probably bypass this issue.

(Sorry, I can't be much help here -- I think this dialog shouldn't exist, and I
tend to be hopeless at giving advice on UI details for things which shouldn't
exist.)

Dialog has been redesigned so this issue is moot.
