The Windows VM given to the NSS team in bug 748476 is a single core machine. Given that today's user systems are multi-core, we should have a multi-core machine for NSS testing purposes. Could you please setup a: - windows VM - setup a MSVC compiler (express is fine) (the one that you currently use for building latest firefox) - 2 GB Ram - at least 2 CPU cores, 4 are better because NSS uses lots of multi-threading We don't need anything else on that machine, we'll setup everything else we need. Thanks for your help
The operating system and architecture flags are examples. Please use whatever OS version and hardware architecture matches the Firefox build environment best. A 64 bit VM would make sense, so we are flexible and can run both 32 and 64 bit builds. Windows 2003, or Windows 7, or Windows 2008 all sound OK to me.
Hello Kaie, Is this going to be a common occurrence (ie you will need more of the same VMs?). If so, please let us know which exact Windows version you need and how much ram you need as well, as we could then make templates out of your request. This will lead to faster deployment. As for the CPU, we usually don't go higher than 2 CPU because of performance reasons.
