The reported bug no longer exists, you can drag-n-drop normal attachments and then convert them in the destination composer to a cloudFile. No idea where that has been fixed.
What I will do in this bug is to make sure this behaviour is tested and also add support to drag-n-drop cloudFiles, which is currently disabled.

In my latest try run I see a test fail, but I cannot reproduce that in my Linux VM:

The "exit code 6" thing is not related to your patch. It happens to Linux BCT tests at random. The test passing on the other platforms is also a good sign. Thanks for checking.
