User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_8_2) AppleWebKit/536.26.17 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/6.0.2 Safari/536.26.17 Steps to reproduce: Check this jsfiddle http://jsfiddle.net/Av7Qj/ An embedded flash video (using the youtube iframe api) is inside a container that has css transforms applied. Tested only on OS X (10.8.2) Actual results: mouse interaction isn't working properly. Hover seems to work but click doesn't Expected results: mouse interaction should work as normal
dupe Bug 819763 ?
(In reply to Alice0775 White from comment #1) > dupe Bug 819763 ? Doesn't look like it. Video renders fine, but you can't interact with it. Also, I don't set transform-style
(In reply to Alice0775 White from comment #1) > dupe Bug 819763 ? I just tested on WIndows XP and there the issues looks indeed similar: Flash content/video doesn't render. So it might be a dupe after all
(In reply to Alice0775 White from comment #1) > dupe Bug 819763 ? looks like if I read comment#4 there

Resolution of original bug (specifying wmode='opaque') does not fix this one. See http://jsfiddle.net/Av7Qj/3/ So either it is not a dupe or the original bug is not resolved

I can see this problem with the original testcase http://jsfiddle.net/ek59Y/1/ I cannot reproduce this problem with the new wmode="opaque" testcase http://jsfiddle.net/Av7Qj/3/ the video both displays and I can interact with it. Nightly, win7.
I cant test on Win7 at the moment, but I can still reproduce on Nightly, OS X 10.8.2 (In reply to Benjamin Smedberg [:bsmedberg] from comment #6) > I can see this problem with the original testcase > http://jsfiddle.net/ek59Y/1/ > > I cannot reproduce this problem with the new wmode="opaque" testcase > http://jsfiddle.net/Av7Qj/3/ the video both displays and I can interact with > it. > > Nightly, win7.
The /3/ testcase WFM on Mac 10.8.2 (non-retina) using the 2013-01-10 nightly.
Just tried on another mac (also 10.8.2) which was on version 16 still. The test case worked. After upgrading to 18 it stopped working just like on my machine. I also rebooted and still no luck on both, 18 and nightly 2013-01-23. I can confirm that it works on Win7 though sorry for the annoying video btw :)
Are these both retina-display macs?

One of them was, the other one is a 2010 MacBook Pro
Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.9; rv:25.0) Gecko/20130731 Firefox/25.0 I can reproduce the issue using testcase from comment 0 on latest Nightly (buildID: 20130731030203). I can`t interact with the video using the mouse. Everything works on Chrome, Opera and Safari. On windows 7x32 using latest Nightly, loading the testcase will show only a blank container. Works on Chrome, Opera and IE.

For what it's worth (as this is confirmed already): I came across this problem trying to embed a flash movie in a container element that was horizontally centered using '-moz-transform: translate(-50%,0);'. Another test case: http://jsfiddle.net/KaF8S/2/. The play button (or any other control) is not clickable when the container is translated by just 1 pixel (however, I experienced both 1: nothing was clickable 2: the "click-area" was displaced by the translate value). > Non-Retina MacBook Pro (early 2011) > Current Stable: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.8; rv:23.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/23.0 > Current Nightly: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.8; rv:26.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/26.0
Just as a reminder; You can call it 832929 or 819763 specifying wmode="opaque" (or "transparent") doesn't change that: Windows (XP to 8), FF 23.0.1: There is a black box Mac OS (10.8), FF 23.0.1: Play Button (and other chrome) recognizes the hovering but no click View: http://jsfiddle.net/aZMnP/
This is still an issue in Firefox 24 on Mac OS 10.8, with Flash 11.8. CSS transforms will create issues for the majority of Flash content out there. To illustrate the point, here's an extra jsfiddle showing a YouTube video with a transform applied. http://jsfiddle.net/X8ZgN/3/
We know it is an issue and do have enough test-cases now. It's just a question of when someone has time to look into it.
Thanks Georg. Many apologies for the unnecessary bump.
With Firefox 27 (OSX 10.9.1, retina) the bug is not reproducible
Resolving as wont fix, plugin support deprecated in Firefox 85.
