Web QA and A-team would like to house 6 Unagis critical to Firefox OS automation, preferably in 3.MDF, if there's room?
Right now it'd probably be hooked up much the same as the Ikea shoe organizers in Haxxor, and we'd need power to each Mac Mini, as well as RJ-45 drops to each of the 6 boxes.
We'll file separate bugs for static IP requests, as well as a request for a dedicated Wi-Fi network (a la the A-team one in Haxxor), if possible, to isolate the tests from Mozilla Guest / Mozilla * Wi-Fi issues/saturation.

Just a note, the wifi issues won't be any different in 3.MDF than they would be at your desk. A dedicated network won't particularly help, as the basic issue is the presence of *too* many networks. If you absolutely must have a clean wifi environment, then Haxxor is your only choice.

:stephend, do you already have the Minis for this batch? If so, could you let us know the model numbers? The type of shelving we use might depend on the Mini model.

We do, yeah. They're all either A1176s or the same form factor (i.e. not the nice, new, pre-mid-2010 chassis). :-(

The only thing preventing us from using haxxor for this is that these tests require cellular data. So, if we could put some kind of cellular repeater into haxxor then that would enable us to use haxxor for this and we could sorta have our cake and eat it too. Just an option I figured I'd throw out there for consideration.

We have several spare rackmount shelves for the old r3 mini form factor. We should be able to easily mount two minis and two phones in each shelf.
Are these units already in use, or would we be able to borrow two of each to do some mock-ups?

tl;dr - you sure can -- I've got 3 pretty-much-dead older-style Mac Minis sitting here on my desk on the 3rd floor (right now 3.MDF, in fact).
It's actually going to be a mix-and-match -- found out from Tim Farfield that we're not able to really get any more, older chassis -- so I've asked for 3 new ones -- I hope that doesn't screw things up?

We'll go ahead and spot an upgrade for the remaining three minis in order to avoid having to support the older platform.
Ashlee, could you order three new mac minis (base model) for this project? They should be delivered to stephend in Mountain View to perform the initial setup before we install them.

There was a service now request tied to this bug. I closed it out, looks like everything is being covered here. Let me know if anything is needed from our team.

Henry, that Service Now request only covers 3 of the 6 Mac Minis -- I'll reopen it, unless it's fine for Ashlee / Rich to get 3 more for us, here?

Probably better to consolidate your order here. If I were to place the order, it would eventually go thru Rich.

Works just fine for me, then, thanks! (Easier this way for us, as well).
Ashlee, can we get 3 more of the same as were already ordered? Thanks!
