If some flags are added to do all the ui functionality in the Profile Manager
then we can automate it for Linux.
This is needed because there is no QAPartner for Linux.
For Windows we can use QAPartner.
selmer, checked with chofmann due to this possibly increasing code size for this
component. He said it is cool if it gets us more testing. Any ETA on when your
guys could do this? Thanks!

Jan, per our discussion on 7/8 I'm assigning this to you. I'd rather have Bindu
spend time doing QAP tests that actually exercise the real UI since that would
be more likely to catch the changes that have been breaking us. Doing a command
line interface for Linux is not likely to catch any important bugs. Thanks,
Steve
I am going to put this on Resolved/Later until we go back to do this.

this would be back end code, see my bug for an example of what I do for this. I
currently use build directories that are not from the build directories on the
mozilla server, but the ones' listed in the titlebar and about:mozilla.. I use
mozilla.org/2002-3-13/Mozilla for date 3.13. and my profile names are 2002-3-13
as well. I do this so I can test builds back as far as I want by just
shortcutting to the build .exe file for the day I want. Or I run them by
clickin on the .exe files. This really helps to solve other bugs and find
regressions much faster.

Can anyone explain what this bug is really about? Has this expired?
