Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.17 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/24.0.1312.57 Safari/537.17
Steps to reproduce:
I opened a newsgroup post. Clicked reply. Wrote a response. Clicked send.
Actual results:
The response was sent to the author of the newsgroup post.
Expected results:
The response should have been sent to the newsgroup.
Reply used to be the command to send a response to the newsgroup when replying to a newsgroup post.

That's intentional. Thunderbird now uses the standard* terminology "Followup" for responding to a newsgroup.
* as defined by the Good Netkeeping Seal of Approval: http://js.home.xs4all.nl/gnksa/

For the past 15 years (or more) it has been Reply, and now you change Reply to mean something else. Hm.. How about a warning users about the change with a message box. I find this change annoying for two reasons - I am sending replies to wrong recipient, and so do the others. I am sick and tired of telling people "Reply does not work the way it used to. Click the other button next to it!".
