839537 - CF UI options stay disabled if the querying for call forwarding results in an error

Description

1.  Click on Settings Icon
2.  Scroll to and select Call Settings
3. Call forwarding icon shows "Requesting network info"

If the query for call forwarding results in an error, the CF UI options stay disabled.

Expected Result: The options should display an error message and become enabled.

You could easily reproduce the issue by enabling FDN on the SIM (PIN2). With PIN2 enabled, the query for call forwarding should always fail.

Jose, yes it does seem like this issue is a duplicate of bug 826477. Please look at the android radio logs to confirm.

There is already a patch for bug 826477. How do you enable FDN on the SIM (PIN2? I assume you do that by using an MMI code, right?. I'd be nice a double-check from your side. Could you do it please?

Jose, I am not aware of any MMI code to enable PIN2, you can change/unblock PIN2 through MMI codes however.

I put the SIM card in any Android phone and enable PIN2 and then put the SIM card back in the b2g phone.

Do we expect the shira target markets to specifically run into this? Or are you asking that this be considered a blocker for any partner?

Alex, I was considering this to be a blocker for any partner. It is not a use case that will happen often but if it does it results in a poor user experience.
