Steps to reproduce:

Moved a folder that has a retention policy of 30 days to another location.


Actual results:

Retention policy was removed from folder.


Expected results:

Retention policy should be retained.

Just because one moves a folder in re-arranging the folder hierarchy to better suit ones needs, one should not have to re-establish folder retention.    This happens on IMAP, POP, and local folders.

This does not happen for me on POP3, when dragging and dropping a folder in the left folder pane. Retention settings stayed intact, when reviewing it via rightclick -> properties->retention.

I have 3 IMAP4 accounts and none of them retain folder retention settings when dropping and dragging.   Local folders do not keep their retention policy when they are moved.   2 out of 3 of my POP3 accounts do not retain the folder retention policy when dropped and dragged in the left hand folder pane.

I would expect all accounts and all folders to retain their retention policy when dropped and dragged within the left folder pane.

aceman, I was able to reproduce this with imap.  Both move and rename of folder caused reset to account default for retention period and star setting. I could not reproduce for pop for a *non-special* folder name.  Using current daily of course.


George, can you try to reproduce with a daily development build?

With the daily build, I can only get it to do it with the local and imap folders not pop.
