STR, on Ubuntu 12.04 x86-64 (though presumably any Linux should reproduce). 1. go to http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/ 2. click the big green Download Firefox button; start download 3. after the download is done you're on this page: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/#download-fx 4. it says: > 1. Start the process by clicking Run. Your download should begin automatically. If not, click here. It could take a few minutes, but it’s worth the wait. > 2. When prompted, drag the Firefox icon into the image of your Applications folder. Click Run to launch the Mozilla Firefox setup wizard. Then, just follow the steps (we've made the process as painless as possible). > 3. Drag the Firefox icon from the Applications folder into the dock. Then, just click on Firefox whenever you want to use the web! Now you’re ready to leap boldly into a new era of Web surfing. Double-click on the Firefox icon Here steps 2 and 3 assume Mac OSX but I'm on Linux and it had correctly guessed my platform as it served me a Linux build.
