It turns out that we need to update some packages to make tests working.

I don't think that's a good idea, given that we can't update just some sections. It means if we ever need to update precise-security, we also have to update precise-updates, with unpredictable results. Can we just pull the updated packages we need?
we can probably use reprepro to pull some packages. I haven't used reprepro in this mode though... I can try to set up it.
I suppose one option is to not mirror everything into /data/repos/mirrors/ubuntu, and instead mirror it into separate repos for each section. I don't know how much extra space that would consume, but it would solve this problem. Anyway, there's nothing I can do here that you can't, and you understand the situation at least as well, if not better, than I do, so have at it!

Summary: Please set up mirroring of "precise-updates" component of Ubuntu 12.04 → Create partial deb repo for packages need updates
We need a better way to import packages and *required* dependencies only to avoid missing packages. For example gnome-settings-daemon pulled libc6 update, but not libc6-dev, what prevented nvidia drivers to be installed properly.

Rail, is this still an issue?
Closing as INCOMPLETE because we still don't have an automated way to figure out dependencies we need to import/backport...
