(Reporter: rsbrux, Unassigned)
Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.2; WOW64; rv:19.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/19.0
Build ID: 20130215130331
Steps to reproduce:
Tried to save a bookmark
Used "choose folder"
Attempted to create new folder, in which to store the bookmark.
Actual results:
"New Folder" is created at the selected point in folder tree (even if "New Folder" already exists).
However, focus is lost, and the newly created folder cannot be renamed.
I have experienced this issue in the last several versions of Firefox, running under various versions of Windows.
See
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/941991
for further details.
Expected results:
The newly created folder should have remained selected, allowing me to type in a new folder name.

Any other add-on in common among the 4 PCs?
I had Xmarks installed on all of them, but continued to have the problem after disabling it. Now I find that the problem goes away if I start FF 19 in safe mode. On one machine where Xmarks is not installed, the problem does not occur (either under FF18 or FF19). This suggests that the problem is in fact due to the plug-in. Thanks for your support!
Uninstalled Xmarks from the WinXP x64 machine, but problem persists.
Windows 7 machine without Xmarks works OK. Examining for other differences in add-ons.
The culprit in my case appears to be "Auto-Sort Bookmarks 1.6"
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/auto-sort-bookmarks/?src=api
Disabling the "autosort" option in "Auto-Sort Bookmarks 1.6" seems to be enough to restore normal Firefox operation.
