http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/ says my up-to-date Apple shim is "outdated" and sends me to http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp to "update". I do not have Java installed on this computer.
Not to be confused with bug 790008:
* Bug 790008 affects users who do not have any Java-related plugins enabled. (The normal configuration for a new Windows installation.)
* This bug affects users who have the Apple shim enabled, but have never installed Java. (The normal configuration for a new Mac.)
