**** observed with mtrunk build 2001-06-11-04 build ****
Steps to reproduce:
- open new Mail composition;
- enter a non-ascii char that would be a part of a recipient name in your AB or
CA, for example :"ü"
-note//: there is no match found, the domain is appended "ü@netscape.com";
- if you would enter "G" it'll bring you a list of recipients where "Günter
Grass" will be among other matches but it won't recognize the difference
between u,ü and û.

I can confirm that this problem exists, but it is not a problem with the
autocomplete widget. The non-ascii string is correctly passed to the
addressbook autocomplete session, which fails to match correct. So, this
problem is in the addressbook autocomplete session code.

it seems working in 2001-06-12-04 build, the only thing that is not working is
that you can not enter a non-ascii for the second position; for example
g+ALT+235. After entering "g" you get the list of matches and hitting Alt+235
will distroy the autocompletion.you'll get something like
G...@netscape.com+Alt+235. The copy/paste works.
it looks like the fix for bug # 43429 fixed this problem as well. with
2001-09-25-0.9.4 build the autocompletetion is not distrought when i am
entering non-ascii chars using Alt+ num pad. I am marking this as fixed.
