We'll want to QA this for regressions, especially on Netflix.
Do we have a deadline and target Firefox version for this block?
We currently softblock Silverlight 0 - 5.0.*, due to bug 782672. Do we want to remove that block and replace it with CTP? Or should we only add a CTP block for 5.1 - 5.1.20124.* to have the same level of coverage for more recent versions?
(In reply to Jorge Villalobos [:jorgev] from comment #3) > Or should we only add a CTP > block for 5.1 - 5.1.20124.* to have the same level of coverage for more > recent versions? Let's do this. No need to replace old blocks. (In reply to Anthony Hughes, Mozilla QA (:ashughes) from comment #2) > Do we have a deadline and target Firefox version for this block? Let's go with FF19 and up, to limit testing scope.
Block is staged now: https://addons-dev.allizom.org/firefox/blocked/p303
(In reply to Jorge Villalobos [:jorgev] from comment #5) > Block is staged now: https://addons-dev.allizom.org/firefox/blocked/p303 The block appears to be working as expected. Netflix was CTP blocked with Silverlight 5.1.10411.0 and Firefox 19.0 through 22.0a1. Though clicking the block overlay I was still able to play Netflix videos. After updating to Silverlight 5.1.20125.0 I am able to play Netflix videos without being CTP blocked. Feel free to push this live at Release Management's convenience. Paul, if this gets pushed tonight please verify it in production. Thank you.
Pushed live. https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/blocked/p328
Confirmed Silverlight <=5.1.20124.0 is CTP blocked in production, Silverlight 5.1.20125.0 is not blocked in production.
