We have the opportunity to release a new feature in Firefox, a self-auditing system giving advanced users useful information and tips about the performance of their browser. These users can also share this data with Mozilla so as to help improve Firefox performance. This new feature takes the form of a new in-product page accessible at about:healthreport

The product part of it are a few strings in the Firefox source code, the server-side part is a lang file to translate the UI, explain what the collected values are and give performance tips.

The repository for your locale is:
https://svn.mozilla.org/projects/l10n-misc/trunk/firefoxhealthreport/locale/et/

The specific file to translate is:
https://svn.mozilla.org/projects/l10n-misc/trunk/firefoxhealthreport/locale/et/fhr.lang

There is a staging server being set up there:
http://fhr-dev.allizom.org/et/

(Note at the time of filing this bug, the staging server is not autoupdating code and translations yet and is in heavy works since localizers are working in parallel to the webdev team creating this mini-site).

We might release this feature for the next Aurora but that's totally unsure, given that this is server side, we should be able to update the server after we have released the next Firefox Aurora.

Thanks

r114706, keeping open until I can verify it on allizom.
Merike, we ship that in Beta tomorrow (US times), so any update should be done real soon :)
r114895 for the late string. Is it expected that it displays without data for now? Putting numbers in context changes localization sometimes for Estonian.
This is live on nightly/aurora/beta, you can see it on about:healthreport. This is a v1 but I think it looks pretty good given the short timelines to set it up and translate it. For numbers, I am investigating using the gaia js library that handles complex plural rules, dates and other l10n and mozilla specificities on the client side, but that will be for v2. For this version, we have tried to limit the number of cases where we wuld expose locale specific plurals or syntax. This is likely to happen with an additionnal .properties file in the repository that will be for client side use only.

Also, expect that there will be continuous string updates to this project, not a lot of strings, but we will probably tweak the wording of some UI elements, add new tips and new types of data over time.

Most of the strings being in the lang files, we should be able to push them almost at will, I'll talk with webtools about that in the next couple of weeks to define a schedule.

Also note that the dates in the graph (month names and format) are not localized, the strings exist in a date.lang file and are from Firefox source code but we didn't have time to update the code to use it, that will probably be for v2.

Thanks Merike!

Found a typo, r115184.
Also, I hope there's a bug somewhere about the graph column not fitting next to sidebar on 1024px screen. I don't think this resolution is quite dead yet.
