Steps to reproduce:

making this report via Aurora 21, UX 22 not working good.

I added, just for fun, the Group Tabs icon to the toolbar.
Closed customized, clicked on GroupTabs button (10x) and Nothing happened.
I clicked the 'New Tab' + on tab bar and it opened a new tab, but in Tab Groups View.


Actual results:

I clicked the 'New Tab' + on tab bar and it opened a new tab, but in Tab Groups View.
I could Not close tab groups, I could not choose a tab (page).
Clicking on previous page (in tab group, as iconnized page) animated page as if it were enlarging to 'open' or become the page i am viewing, but only reduced back to an icon.
Over and Over.

I could Not get out of Tab Groups. I had to kill firefox.

Expected results:

either tab groups should have given me tab groups
and or 
New Tab should have given me a new tab
Not both.

UX is an experimental branch - doubt that there will be any fixes for issues not reproducible on main Firefox branches (Nightly, Aurora, Beta, Release)

but would it not be worth getting this into a useful component or cc: a developer working on UX ?

It certainly wouldn't hurt. But it's trickier to actually find out what and who triggered something like this. Panorama isn't actively maintained anymore and is planned to be removed.

Panorama has been removed from Firefox 45, currently in Beta and scheduled for release on March 7th. As such, I'm closing all existing Panorama bugs.

If you are still using Panorama, you will see a deprecation message in Firefox 44, and when 45 is released your tab group data will be migrated to bookmarks, with a folder for each group. There are also a few addons offering similar functionality.

We're removing Panorama because it has extremely low usage (about 0.01% of users), and has a large number of bugs and usability issues. The cost of fixing all those issues is far too high to justify, and so we'll instead be focusing our time and energy on improving other parts of Firefox.
